Mangosteen and Eczema
I have had eczema since I was a baby and nothing has ever helped.
This is what happened after drinking 'Mangosteen Juice' for 30 days.
Mariah A.
Texas - USA
A note from Grandad: My granddaughter Mariah had suffered from
eczema rash on the back of her leg for over 20 years. All the potions
and lotions couldn't make it go away. After drinking 2 ounces of
[Mangosteen Juice] daily, the rash was nearly gone in thirty days.
Now one year later, there is no evidence of eczema rash.
Mariah now wears skirts for the first time in her life.

Testimonial - Mangosteen and Allergies
Mangosteen and Allergies , Debilitating Headaches, Repeated Sinus Infections
Feeling that this was "too good to be true" I then initiated my own washout protocol by stopping the Mangosteen for one day. To my astonishment, the following day I was re-introduced to my former allergy symptoms of pounding headaches, congestion, and sneezing, which again resolved after restarting the Mangosteen Juice. It is exremely gratifying to know that there is strong scientific proof for the health benefits I experienced with Mangosteen.

Mangosteen Testimonial - Thyroid Cancer & Shingles
This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Virginia Miller's Testimony Thyroid Cancer & Shingles
September 27,2007
Mark I feel so very special and extremely blessed !! In late September 2005, I was suffering from Trangeminal Nueralgia, a Small Pox virus that stays dormant in the spinal column after one has had Shingles or a Herpes Virus. I had shingles on my face, which nearly covered my face on the right side, barely missing my right eye and down past my mouth. When these breakouts occur the pain is so excruciating and sharp, and really gets worse as you get older. I was under pain management control for the pain for a long time and nothing seemed to work. I had been put on Neuronton at a cost of $300.00/Mo. and at first I thought the pain was better but I gained 30 pounds of fluid in approximately 2-3 Mos. . I could hardly climb up my stairway at home and the fluid was very evident on my legs and around my heart. I determined I would not kill myself with the drug and would rather surrender the drug and stand the pain, than take a chance of further side effects from any drugs.
It was at this time of one of these outbreaks that I and horrendous pain that I finally paid attention to an ad I had heard several times on the radio station , KRKS from Denver ,Co. The testimonies of relief from illnesses and the short stories of people who were pleased with the results from working their businesses from home, finally caught my attention, and I picked up my cell phone and called the 800 number, with a promise that someone would be in touch with me in 3 days.
I'd like to stop right here and thank Mark Hunkele for calling me within the 3 days and telling me about this wonderful new product , Xango, made from the Little Mangosteen fruit, grown in so. east Asia.. He articulated very well, about the Phytonutrients, the Xanthones, and this small fruit and what they had discovered that it would do, and how I could possibly be helped by it. I wanted it right away and he sent me some literature and a cd and got me on the Bob Schmidt conference call on that Mon .PM.. I called him and ordered it right away and it was at my door in three days. I started taking it at 1 oz. 3 times a day and within 48 hrs, I was free from the neuralgia pain and have not had that pain like that since. I increased my dosage for other ailments and was really so pleased with the results that I started telling everyone I knew about and what it was doing for me.
I could tell you many stories about helping others but I know I'm the miracle one here from the use of Xango and this wonderful little fruit (Mangosteen) GODS GIFT TO ALL OF US, from South east Asia. I was doing very well, felt great , had lots of energy and enjoying being a "messenger of hope" to many.
Then Jan. 4th,2007 I started feeling weak and very ill. I thought I had caught a virus and would be OK in a few days. Then I started losing my voice and became very hoarse. I discovered a hardening across the lower part of my neck and felt it was probably swollen glands from the virus. I didn't get better and felt very weak so went to see my Dr. on Jan. 18th.2007. He visited with me for a short time, felt of my throat and said "Virginia, this is no good, no good at all. We must rule out the big "C" and sent me for an Ultra- sound , followed by a trip to a Surgeon , who examined me with a Scope and sent me to get a Biopsy of the Thyroid. this took 40 Min. instead of the usual 10 min. because they were having a hard time differentiating what was there.
They sent me then to another specialist an Endocrinologist, and after they had conferred, they said that there was no cancer and that I had thyroiditis and it would take 3- 6 mos. to get over it. By this time my voice was very hoarse and broken and almost a whisper. By this time it was the 2nd week of Feb. After my visit with her she called me one week later and said, " we're very concerned about your situation and "could I send for the slides from the first pathologist and have them sent to my pathologist, that I have utmost confidence in", and I said , "of course". After he had seen the slides she called me back and said that it was definitely cancer and that I had to have surgery right away.
Being on a blood thinner I had to wait for 5 days before they could do surgery. On Feb. 26th I had the surgery and never knew what kind of cancer I had until the surgery was over and they had seen it under frozen sectioned pathology exams.. Dr. Kim, who has done many Thyroid surgeries, sat on my bed the next Morning and told me," it was the worst he had seen in the US!" He diagnosed it as Anaplastic Carcinoma Thyroid Cancer. the Medical description is, The least common but most aggressive type of thyroid Cancer. Anaplastic is another word for undifferentiated; that is, the highly malignant cells do not look like Thyroid cells. They were so bad that they sent the specimens to the Mayo clinic, and to a clinic in Chicago for their interpretation and analization. I was told then that I had a 1 % chance of survival , the tumor had grown from a small nodule the first of Feb. to a golf ball sized tumor in 2-3 weeks. and had attached itself to my Larnyx and my asophagus and my voice was barely above a whisper.
I immediately started taking a bottle of the Xango jc. a day and flushed it all out with a gallon of distilled water a day, to get rid of all the toxins and restore new cells. I did as the Drs. said and opted to take the Chemo therapy and radiation therapy, along with the Xango and the distilled water. The Drs. wanted to treat this very Aggressive Cancer ,Very Aggressively, so put me through the treatments in 5 weeks instead of the usual 6 weeks. The treatments were over May 1st of this year and since the first CAT scan and the PET scan I have been free of the cancer. I am slowly regaining my voice. I feel very blessed and very special to have been introduced to this great product and again ,Thank you Mark for being there for me so I can spread this message to others.
Last Friday, Sept 21st, I saw my endocrinologist/oncologist and my general oncologist and they are still very pleased and surprised at the recovery and yet want to keep a close eye on this aggressive type of cancer.
God has a definite plan for my life and I fully intend to fulfill it and spread the message to as many as I can about Xango, the results of a little fruit that he grew in South East Asia and how I have been so fortunate to know about it at the right time,. I believe in the product and the terrific founders of our Co.

Six Fresh Fruits From Thailand Enter the United States for the First Time
Royal Thai Embassy Office of Commercial Affairs Provides Tastes of Thailand in Washington, DC
WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - November 15, 2007) - For the first time, Thailand is importing six exotic, tropical fresh fruits into the United States -- mangosteen, rambutan, longan, lychee, mango, and pineapple.
"While many Americans may not be familiar with the Thai versions of these fruits, anyone who has spent time in Thailand know how delicious and delectable these fruits are, especially when served fresh," said Mrs. Kessiri Siripakorn, Commercial Minister of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, DC.
Although these Thai-grown fruits have been available in canned form or served as juices for many years in the United States, this is the first time they will be available fresh.
In Southeast Asia, these fruits are valued for their flavor and nutritional qualities. For example, mangosteen is valued for its refreshing and rejuvenating properties and known as the "Queen of Fruits," perhaps because of the legend that Queen Victoria offered a knighthood to anyone who could bring her this succulent, sweet-tart fruit in pristine condition. Dr. Mehmet Oz, professor and vice chairman of surgery at Columbia University and a regular contributor to "The Oprah Show," cites mangosteen as one of the "ancient healing tools that have strong antioxidants to promote everything from sexuality to longevity."
The rambutan, often called the "hairy fruit" because of its red, hairy skin, is low in calories but high in health value. The red, rough-skinned lychee purportedly regulates the digestive system, quenches thirst, and helps people with anemia.
Thai officials have been working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to develop a procedure to assure the safety of the fruit and to prevent the transfer of pests or disease from imports to U.S.-grown produce. On June 20, APHIS announced the conditions under which the six fruits could be imported. On November 1, APHIS certified the procedure, and shipments began.
The first shipment of fresh Thai fruit arrived in the port of Los Angeles earlier this month. Fresh Thai fruit should begin appearing in grocery stores on the West Coast within the next few weeks and on the East Coast early in 2008. Much more of the fresh Thai fruit will appear in American grocery markets in the spring of 2008, as the fruits come back into season.
On November 15, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Krit Garnjana-Goonchorn introduced food and cultural writers to the tastes of these fruits, along with Hom Mali -- the unique Thai jasmine rice -- and other Thai dishes at a luncheon at Bangkok Joe's prepared by Executive Chef/Owner Aulie Bunyarataphan.
Following is a brief description of the six fruits:
Mangosteen is a small, round fruit with a thick, purple skin encasing succulent, sweet-tart white segments. This popular dessert fruit is eaten fresh from the shell. Mangosteen is high in potassium and contains vitamins B and C, calcium, magnesium, and traces of iron and zinc. The inedible purple skin, rich in antioxidants, is used to treat skin problems. Fresh Thai mangosteens are available May-October.
Rambutan, instantly recognizable by its bright red, hairy skin, is popular throughout Southeast Asia. The small, egg-shaped, white, textured flesh inside is deliciously sweet. Low in calories, rambutans contain vitamin C, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, and niacin and reputedly beautify the skin. The season for fresh Thai rambutans is from April-October.
The popular longan is known as "dragon eyes" because it resembles an eye when shelled. The translucent-white, soft, sweet, and juicy flesh surrounds a large, black seed. Longan is related to the lychee, and both have been grown in Southeast Asia for 1,000 years. Longan's musky, sweet, rich fruit, enveloped in a smooth, brown, leathery skin, is enjoyed chilled as a dessert, in fruit salads, as a snack, or as a delicious addition to many dishes, including soups. Fresh Thai longans are found June-October.
Extremely sweet, but with a touch of sourness, lychees are popular for dessert. About the size of a large grape, they have a rough red skin surrounding juicy, white flesh and a smooth black seed. Generally served with ice, freshly peeled and pitted, lychees are rich in vitamins C, B1 and B2, phosphorus, niacin, and carbohydrate. In addition to being a succulent fresh fruit, lychees are popular as juices and wines and in flavored cocktails. The Thai lychee season is April-June.
Oval-shaped Thai mangoes are renowned for their juicy, aromatic, and delightfully sweet taste. Whether eaten as a dessert when they are ripe, yellow and sweet, or dipped in a sweet chili sauce when they are young, green and sour, Thai mangoes are rich in calcium, phosphorus, vitamins A and B, and beta-carotene. Thai mangoes are available November-June.
Thais enjoy the yellow, succulent, fibrous flesh of fresh pineapple as a dessert and an accompaniment to other food. When the sweet and sour pineapple tastes too tart, Thais dip sections into a dry salt and sugar mixture. Famous for their thirst-quenching properties, pineapples are rich in vitamins A and C, calcium, phosphorus, and bromelian and reportedly cool the body, fight colds, and lower blood pressure. Peak season for Thai pineapples is April-May and November-January.

Testimonial - Brain Tumors
Disclaimer: We do not claim that the Mangosteen Juice cures cancer, or other diseases, we just want to share the personal experiences of people who have supplemented their diet with this wonderful antioxidant drink. CHRIS: BEATING STAGE 4 BRAIN CANCER
After suffering from headaches for months, I had a seizure in late September of 2006. When I awoke, I learned that I had been out for 1 1/2 days! In that time I was air flown to UCSF for emergency surgery to remove 2 tumors, a golf ball sized and another smaller one, from the left side of my brain. Unfortunately, a 3rd tumor could not be removed, as that would have left me unable to talk and possibly paralyze my entire left side. This tumor was of a kind known as a Glioblastoma multiforme tumor. I researched it online. Here is an excerpt from a Wikipedia definition:
Glioblastoma multiforme
(GBM), also known as grade 4 astrocytoma, is the most common
and aggressive type of primary brain tumor, accounting for 52% of all primary brain tumor cases and 20% of all intracranial tumors. Despite being the most prevalent form of primary brain tumor, GBM's occur at only 2-3 cases per 100,000 people in Europe and
I was told that I had 6 months to live. Within 6 weeks, I was on chemo and radiation therapies with no effect. In fact, my first MRI results from this showed that the tumor had actually DOUBLED in size!
I put out an email to my local community asking if anyone knew of anything that may help me. Richard is a friend that had just been introduced to Mangosteen Juice himself and learned that it was effective in a number of areas, including the breaking down of tumors. He said he didn't know if it would work for me, but perhaps I would be open to trying it. I laughed. "Rich, my doctors gave me six months to live! You bet I will try it!"
I went on the '21 day challenge', drinking 1 bottle a day for 21 days, along with plenty of filtered water. After 11 days of drinking the juice, I had my second MRI. I couldn't believe it! My tumor had SHRUNK and all cancer activity in my brain STOPPED! I was screaming with joy and called all my friends and relatives! My parents were in tears!
Earlier, when it was first suggested that I do chemo to combat the tumor, I was told that one of the side effects was death! To me, that was not an option and I decided to stop all chemo and radiation therapies.
I continued drinking the mangosteen juice, cutting back to 1/2 bottle a day for the next month. My next MRI came in showing the tumor continuing to shrink. I was so excited! I am getting my life back! This tumor does not have a chance!
During my 1Oth week of drinking the juice, I went in to get my fourth MRI. The radiologist was too busy to meet with me. Fortunately, I was with a friend that had experience reading MRI's so we rushed on home to look at it on my laptop computer. We were puzzled with what we saw, or rather DIDN’T see. Calling the radiologist, I asked why I didn’t see anything on this MRI. He pulled it up on his screen, looked at it and laughed. "That is because IT’S NOT THERE! You NO LONGER HAVE A TUMOR,
my friend!" My oncologist was stunned as well! I could not believe it! MY TUMOR WAS GONE! I spent the rest of the day and into the evening calling all of my relatives and friends! Originally, my doctors told me that I should have been DEAD 2 months ago! I have my LIFE back!
I continue drinking the Mangosteen juice as a preventative. I also highly recommend maintaining an alkaline diet, and meditation to keep a positive outlook on your future. I don’t know if this miracle juice will do the same for anyone out there suffering from a tumor, but am I glad that Richard introduced it to me. If not, I probably would not be here today.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I am grateful for every day of my life!
Sincerely,
Chris

ABC News Reviews Home-based Business Opportunities
This message was forwarded by Sandi and Ed Cohen who are 500K Premiers and legends in the world of Xango. The message is as follows:
Thanks to Rod Cook, one of the founders of the Distributor Rights Association (DRA…www.mlm-dra.org) for passing this along…
http://abcnews.go.com/Video
Even ABC News coverage understands the value of a home based business. Those who do not understand, obviously need to be educated. Some will never understand and they will have to settle working at their job or profession forever with little or no hope of time or financial freedom!!
40,000 people a week join a home based business!!
If you have determnination, drive, perserverance, are coachable and have a dream, you can achieve your goals.
Do you have these?

How to eat a mangosteen
The mangosteen fruit is still quite rare in the West, but has been highly regarded in Southeast Asia for centuries for it's excellent taste and medicinal properties. Known as the "Queen of Fruits", (not the "King", as the announcer mistakenly calls it) this unusual delicacy should be properly prepared, as the video shows.

New Mangosteen Research Establishes Xanthone Measurement Standard
XanGo, LLC, recognized creator of the mangosteen supplement category is leading scientific exploration of the whole mangosteen fruit (Garcinia mangostana) through a tiered approach based on safety, standardization and efficacy. In a study published in the June 2007 issue of the Journal of Separation Science, researchers established a credible scientific method for testing and measuring xanthones. Preliminary results from a separate study conducted on XanGo® Juice, indicate usage of the whole mangosteen fruit as a delivery vehicle leads to high xanthone absorption.
"These two studies put into context how to measure xanthones and how to effectively absorb these phytonutrients," said Edward Walker, Ph.D., of Weber State University, lead researcher on the published study. "A xanthone measurement standard is in place. Now claims concerning xanthone quantity and efficacy can be evaluated through credible research."
Published study sets xanthone measurement standard In the peer-reviewed method for quantifying xanthones from the mangosteen fruit, Walker used the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis to create an analytical method that accurately identifies xanthones from the rind of the mangosteen fruit.
According to Walker, an 80:20 acetone/water mixture was used to extract the xanthones from dried, ground whole mangosteen fruit rind.
"A total of six xanthones were purified by preparative HPLC, utilizing the same solvent system and UV detection as for the analytical method," said Walker. "Each compound has unique UV absorption spectra that allows for easy identification of the xanthone found naturally in the mangosteen fruit."
Research lab ChromaDex developed the standards, and in accordance with AOAC protocol, performed a single lab validation to quantify xanthones through comparison measurement of detector response factors of individual xanthones. Walker said the research team chose the whole mangosteen fruit rind as the starting point because it holds the highest concentration of xanthones in their natural, unaltered state.
"Although researchers are in the process of identifying and measuring additional xanthones, this study, published in the Journal of Separation Science, ensures a more consistent and reliable marketing of mangosteen products to consumers relative to claims of xanthone content," said Walker.
Whole fruit drives absorption
A pre-clinical, preliminary 28-day study of XanGo Juice by Charles River Laboratories Montreal identified the bioavailability of xanthones to determine how many xanthones are actually absorbed and the pathway they travel. Study director Susan McPherson, MSc, senior research scientist at Charles River Laboratories, said preliminary research findings demonstrate that the proprietary whole fruit formula in XanGo Juice leads to high levels of xanthone absorption.
Ongoing research shows high absorption of xanthones in defined dosages, with elements of the whole mangosteen fruit as a delivery vehicle. Unnaturally elevated levels of xanthone consumption actually were shown to result in decreased absorption efficiency.
Preliminary results also showed long-term daily consumption of XanGo Juice to increase levels of xanthones in the blood.
"This is an issue of quality over quantity," said Mike Pugh, manager, research and development at XanGo. "These preliminary findings add further context to the published xanthone measurement study. Ongoing research shows artificially inflating or manipulating a product with xanthone extracts may not add any value. The mangosteen presents more value in its whole fruit form, as presented in XanGo Juice. There are many other phytochemicals found in the fruit that have beneficial effects which are lost in extraction or jeopardized when the natural balance of the fruit is manipulated."
XanGo Juice is produced through a proprietary whole fruit formula based on a puree of the entire mangosteen. The whole mangosteen fruit contains 39 different xanthones. The rind of the mangosteen is considered nature's most abundant source of xanthones. Xanthones, a unique class of phytonutrients, possess a range of powerful antioxidant properties.

Study: Dark-Colored Fruits and Veggies Fight Cancer
The darker the berry, the sweeter the juice, so goes the saying.
But it turns out the darker berry or plum or grape, for that matter, the stronger the cancer-fighting properties.
Researchers conducting a recent study found that the compounds that give some fruits and vegetables their rich colors are powerful cancer deterrants.
Evidence from laboratory experiments on rats and on human colon cancer cells also suggests that anthocyanins, the compounds that give color to most red, purple and blue fruits and vegetables, also slow the growth of colon cancer cells.
"These foods contain many compounds, and we're just starting to figure out what they are and which ones provide the best health benefits," said Monica Giusti, the lead author of the study and an assistant professor of food science at Ohio State University , in a news release.
The findings, which Giusti presented August 19 at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society, in Boston, also bring scientists a step closer to figuring out what gives fruits and vegetables their cancer-fighting properties.
/**/
Giusti and her colleagues found that in some cases, slight alterations to the structure of anthocyanin molecules made these compounds more potent anti-cancer agents.
In their studies on human colon cells grown in laboratory dishes, the researchers tested the anti-cancer effects of anthocyanin-rich extracts from a variety of fruits and vegetables. They retrieved these anthocyanins from grapes, radishes, purple corn, chokeberries, bilberries, purple carrots and elderberries.
The plants were chosen due to their extremely deep colors and high anthocyanin content.
The researchers found that the amount of anthocyanin extract needed to reduce cancer cell growth by 50 percent varied among the plants. Extract derived from purple corn was the most potent and used the least amount of extract (14 micrograms per milliliter of cell growth solution) to cut cell numbers in half.
Chokeberry and bilberry extracts were nearly as potent as purple corn. Radish extract was the least potent and it took nine times as much (131 milligrams per milliliter) of this compound to cut cell growth by 50 percent.
"All fruits and vegetables that are rich in anthocyanins have compounds that can slow down the growth of colon cancer cells, whether in experiments in laboratory dishes or inside the body," Giusti said.
In additional laboratory studies, researchers found that anthocyanin pigments from radish and black carrots slowed the growth of cancer cells anywhere from 50 to 80 percent.
Pigments from purple corn and chokeberries not only completely stopped the growth of cancer cells, but also killed almost 20 percent of the cancer cells while having little effect on healthy cells.

Gene Erickson and The Taste of Life
A while back, I posted a testimonial about a man named Gene Erickson who got great results using mangosteen. Now there is a video with Gene telling his own story, so I thought I would re-post the article with the updated video.
Here it is:
Mangosteen: The Taste of Life
Here is a testimony about a man who got great results from using mangosteen. Keep in mind that I am not a doctor, and I DO NOT claim that these results can be achieved by anyone, or that anyone should disregard the advice of a doctor to treat symptoms of any illness. If drinking mangosteen juice makes you feel better, by all means, continue drinking it.
A wife's 'Mangosteen Juice' Story.
About six months ago my husband became ill, his whole body and joints were racked with pain. Some mornings his hands were so swollen that they were useless until he massaged them for hours. He had no energy or appetite and he was drastically losing weight. The doctors were doing blood tests, lung x-rays and prostate exams. They ruled out cancer, but they could not find what was wrong. They said that it was possibly rheumatoid arthritis. They prescribed an anti inflammatory drug called NAPROXEN.
That relieved a lot of the swelling and pain.
After a several months the situation was getting worse instead of better. The medication was affecting his stomach so he was prescribed an over the counter drug called Zantax. He, also started taking some well known dry vitamins as well as a liquid vitamin.
The doctors decided to do a test that would require that he be off of all drugs (except for over the counter pain relievers) for seven days. My husband was in sheer agony!
My friend had spoken about 'Mangosteen Juice' several times previous. We were skeptical, but we decided that it was worth a try. So she provided us with a bottle and he immediately began taking 2 ounces in the morning and two ounces at night.
About a week later he had his color back! He had a lot more energy, some of his appetite and he was able to cut back to one Naproxen a day!
He was just about out of the 'Mangosteen Juice' but, he still had the dry vitamins as well as the liquid vitamins. So we didn't get another bottle.
It wasn't very many days after he finished the 'Mangosteen Juice' before the pain and swelling were back. He was lacking energy and he had to start taking the full dose of Naproxen and Zantec AGAIN!
Needless to say we hurried to get more 'Mangosteen Juice'. At this writing in the last month (December 2004) my husband has only had to take a total of 3 Naproxen pills - IN THE WHOLE MONTH!
I am also taking 'Mangosteen Juice' and my energy has increased beyond belief. I now sing 'Mangosteen Juice' to everyone I know and meet!!!!!!!

Statistics about Heart Disease Discussed Here
According to the statistics about heart disease published in 2006 by the Center for Disease Control, 24.7 million adults have been diagnosed with heart disease. This figure is equivalent to 11.5% of the American adult population.
Reversing heart disease may not be possible in all cases, but according to the American Heart Association, most people with cardiovascular diseases, including heart failure, can live full and enjoyable lives, with the right treatment and attention to lifestyle.
The CDC is only one agency that publishes statistics about heart disease. “Diseases of the heart” is listed as the number one cause of death in the United States. It is important to remember that this figure includes all deaths caused by all of the different diseases of the heart, not just coronary artery disease, which is a narrowing of the arteries that lead to the heart.
For simplicity’s sake, the National Vital Statistics Report, which is responsible for publishing these statistics about heart disease deaths, does not include subcategories in this report. It is impossible to tell how many of these deaths (654,092 in 2004) were caused by coronary artery disease, heart failure or another disease affecting the heart.
Also known as atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease is the focus of some research concerning reversing heart disease.
According to the Health Center at the University of Texas, noninvasive positron emission tomography, a technology developed by Dr. K. Lance Gould allows doctors to see where heart blood flow has been restricted by early cholesterol buildup in the arteries, with greater accuracy than previous technologies, including the stress test.
A treatment program can be designed for the individual to remove the cholesterol from the artery wall, thus reversing heart disease processes. Reversing heart disease takes time, typically 18-24 months and there is some remaining risk of heart attack during this time, but the doctors and researchers at UT believe that treatment can be quite effective. Dietary and lifestyle changes will still be necessary to prevent additional cholesterol build-up, however.
According to statistics about heart disease published by the American Heart Association, 5 million Americans are living with heart failure and approximately 500,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.
Coronary artery disease and heart failure are not the same conditions, but untreated coronary artery disease can lead to heart failure. These and other statistics about heart disease indicate that coronary artery disease leads to heart failure about 20% of the time, which is distressing, since the latest technology can be effective at reversing heart disease and preventing its progression to heart failure.
Some doctors and researchers believe that coronary artery disease and many other diseases can be linked to inflammatory responses within the body. Being overweight can cause inflammation all over the body. Improper diet can lead to inflammation. Type II or adult onset diabetes, one of the many risk factors for heart disease, is believed to be linked to inflammation. All of this research supports the importance of proper diet, regular exercise and weight control.
Some researchers have reached the conclusion that natural anti-inflammatories may be safer and more effective than anti-inflammatory drugs, because natural anti-inflammatories target a number of inflammatory responses, while synthetic anti-inflammatories may target only a single inflammatory molecule.
The mangosteen -- an exotic fruit from Southeast Asia, not to be confused with the common mango -- has been shown in scientific research to contain a very potent anti-inflammatory, a Cox-2 inhibitor, as well as numerous vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants that can prevent blood clots; reduce bad cholesterol and support overall function of the heart.
Patient reports indicate that it helps control diabetes; lowering blood sugar levels and reducing the need for insulin. Mangosteen products may also help those who need to get up and take a walk, by increasing energy and improving blood flow. There is no magic health elixir for preventing or reversing heart disease, but mangosteen may help.
The statistics for heart disease may be depressing, but even more depressing is the fact that 66.3% of all Americans over the age of 20 are overweight, another risk factor for developing heart disease.
So, in summary, see your doctor, follow good dietary and lifestyle habits, and perhaps try a natural anti-inflammatory like the editors at restore-your-health.com.

Testimonial: Mangosteen Juice and Arthritis
Greetings,
My name is Jo Ann Dorris, but call me Jody. I’m 60 years old and 10 years ago I was told I had rheumatoid arthritis. It has been a struggle, as I have always worked hard and been athletic. This illness has taught me humility. My knees swell up as big as basketballs and have to be drained of fluid. My wrists and hands have been so bad that I could not lift a cup of coffee, turn a doorknob, or squeeze shampoo out of a bottle. Almost impossible to lift my hands over my head to wash my hair or put on my clothes. I’ve had to have surgery on my wrists, also under my arms, because I got lymphoma from too much prednisone and cortisone shots and pills.
As you guessed I have too many problems to tell about. 24 hours of pain $2,700.00 a month in medication, that can actually kill me by damaging my liver, kidneys etc. To top it off I have 6 bulging discs in my back, and a narrowing of my spinal column that is pinching my syatic nerves.
Now you know some of my history. My brother called me late one night and wanted me to try (mangosteen juice) I have tried so many other things and nothing worked because rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune illness. He finally talked me into trying it, which wasn’t easy. My husband and my son made fun of me because I agreed to do so. If all the medications haven’t helped me, how could this juice help? My brother made it clear to me that the juice will not cure rheumatoid arthritis or my back problems, but that it would help my immune system and help me manage my pain.
I have been taking 3 oz. of juice a day now for 6 weeks. It’s hard to describe what is going on in my body, I’m not sure how the juice works, but it is. We were spending $2,700.00 a month on medicine. Arava pills, humara shots, prednisone, and cortisone shots, pain medicine, muscle relaxants, medicine for nervous leg and sleeping pills. The medicine and all of their side effects were as bad as the illness. I am now taking a pain pill once every few days, but none of the Arava, humara, prednisone or cortisone. I’m taking about 95% less medicine than I was. My pain is 75% less or more, my skin is soft again. I no longer have dark circles under my eyes. My hair is growing back. My face looks younger because my skin is no longer dry and drawn. I was giving myself shots of humara in my stomach every 2 weeks. In doing so my stomach was getting soft and spongy. That is going away. All the swelling in my joints are down, which is why I’m having so much less pain. I still get some pain. My rheumatoid arthritis is still there, but I no longer need muscle relaxants or sleeping pills because the pain is down and I can sleep without help. Other things are improving too, but enough.
I know all this seems impossible but as a christian all that I have told you is true. I’m now singing in the choir at church, which I just didn’t feel well enough to do before. I’m enjoying being around people again. My body feels so much better, that I’m happier and not nervous all the time. I will continue to take the juice and encourage others to try it. Not all will have the same results, but what do you have to lose? I’m sure that I’ll even see more good results the longer I take (mangosteen juice).
Sincerely yours,
Jody Dorris

More Testimonials: Severe Migraine Headaches
Severe Migraine Headaches
I used to get three to four severe migraines a month. I've been getting these since I was around 10 years old. These were the full-blown aura and vomit inducing kind. Some would last for days. I've been to many doctors and nobody has a definite answer to it. The only answer that all of them had has been to prescribe some medication and that was that. I have grown up watching my mother suffer from these same migraines. She is frequently in the hospital emergency room or self-inducing Imitrex shots. I decided a long time ago that I would not take medications. They are not the solution. 2 months ago I was told about a product called Mangosteen Juice. Ever since then, neither I, or my mother have had a single episode. Brett T.
I was introduced to Mangosteen Juice by a lifelong friend who called me very excited about the positive results she was experiencing with her leg problem. I knew she had tried many different methods of treatment and nothing seemed to improve her leg. I was given a sample of Mangosteen Juice and was pleasantly surprised by the texture and flavor. It was delicious to the taste. A few days later, which happened to be Sunday, I awakened with a full-blown migraine. I have suffered with migraines most of my life and since I have such extreme adverse reactions to all medications this has been a challenge for me. I nursed the migraine all day long into the early morning hours on Monday.
I had been told Mangosteen Juice would help migraines and I thought this could be a good test for me. So I went back to Mangosteen Juice and asked for a sample bottle to take home. Upon arriving home I immediately took 1 to 2 ounces of the juice and within 15 minutes the pain was completely gone. Also, to my surprise the nausea feeling, which usually lingers for a day or so, was gone as well. As the day progressed I had a high level of energy, which I never have had before with a migraine. I am usually wiped out for a few days even after I get control of the pain. What a thrill this is to me. I am excited to know I have found something natural and healthy with no adverse side effects that I feel will eliminate my migraines forever! - S. Stover

Why We Recommend Network Marketing
There are many benefits the network marketing industry offers those who want more from their lives.
by Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY NOT BE FAMILIAR WITH MY PREVIOUS BOOKS, in Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant, the second book in the Rich Dad serious of books, I go into why some people find getting rich easier than others.
Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant is the most important of my books for people who want to make changes in ther lives. Some of the terms used here will refer to the letters in this Quadrant:
E - stands for employee
S - stands for small-business person, self-employed or specialist
B - stands for big-business owners such as Donald Trump
I - stands for investor
Why Network Marketing
When I first heard about network marketing, I was against it. But after opening my mind, I began to see advantages that few other business opportunities offer. Long-term success in life is a reflection of your education, life experience and personal character. Many network marketing companies provide personal-development training in those key areas.
Most schools train people for the E or S quadrants, and that is great if those are the quadrants in which you want to spend your life. Most MBA programs are training students for high-paying jobs in the corporate world as an E, not a B.
Network Marketing: The Industry for People Who Want to Change Their Lives
What if you're in the E or S quadrants and you want to change? What if you want to be in the B quadrant? Where do you find the education that trains you for that quadrant? I recommend a network marketing business. I recommend the industry for people who want to change, and get the necessary skills and attitude training to be successful in the B quadrant.
Being an entrepreneur and building a B-quadrant business is one of the toughest challenges a person can take on. The reason there are more people in the E and S quadrants is simply because those quadrants are less-demanding than the B quadrant. As they say, "If it were easy, everyone would do it."
I had to learn how to overcome my self-doubt, shyness and fear of rejection. And I had to learn how to pick myself up and keep going after I failed. These are some of the personal traits a person must develop if they are to be successful in a B-quadrant business, whether it is a network marketing business, a franchise or an entrepreneurial start up.
An important personal skill required for any B-quadrant business is leadership. Are you able to overcome your fears and have others overcome their fears to get the job done? This is a skill the Marine Corps taught me. As Marine Corps officers, it was imperative that we were able to lead others into battle, even though we were all terrified of dying.
I meet many people in the S quadrants, the specialists or small-business owners, who woudl like to expand, but they simply lack leadership skills. No one wants to follow them. The employees do not trust their leader, or the leader does not inspire the employees to better themselves.
Forbes defined a big-business owner, a B-quadrant business owner, as a person who controls a business with more than 500 employees. This definition is why leadership skills are vital for the B quadrant.
Where can you find a business that will invest the time in your education, your personal development and building your own business? The answer is most network marketing businesses.
Network Marketing is a B-Quadrant Business
Building a B-quadrant business in not an easy task. So you need to ask yourself, "Do I have what it takes? Am I willing to go beyond my comfort zones? Am I willing to be led and willing to learn to lead? Is there a very rich person inside me, ready to come out?" If the answer is yes, start looking for a network marketing business that has a great training program. I will focus less on the products or the compensation plans, and more on the education and personal development program the company offers.
A network marketing business is a B-quadrant business because it meets several criteria I look for in a business or investment. Those criteria are:
1. | Leverage: Can I train other people to work for me?
2. | Control: Do I have a protected system that belongs to me?
3. | Creativity: Will the business allow me to be creative, and develop my own personal style and talents?
4. | Expandability: Can my business grow indefinitely?
5. | Predictability: Is my income predictable if I do what is expected of me? If I am successful, and keep expanding my business, will my income increase with my success and hard work? |
ISN'T NETWORK MARKETING A PYRAMID SCHEME?
I am often asked if network marketing is a pyramid scheme. My reply is that corporations are really pyramid schemes. A corporation has only one person at the top, generally the CEO, and everyone else below.
A true network marketing business is the exact opposite of a traditional business model. The network marketing business is designed to bring you to the top not keep you at the bottom. A true network marketing business does not succeed unless it brings people to the top.
ADDITIONAL POINTS WORTH MENTIONING
1. | Tax breaks increase. By starting a network marketing business in your spare time and keeping your regular job, you begin to gain the tax advantage of the rich. A person with a part-time business can take more tax deductions than employees can. For example, you may be able to deduct car expenses, gasoline, some meals and entertainment. Obviously, you need to check with your CPA for exact rulings on your situation, and the cost of your CPA is tax deductible. In other words, the government will give you a tax break for advice about how to pay less in taxes.
2. | Meet like-minded people. When I started out, most of my E-quadrant friends thought I was nuts. They could not understand why I did not want the steady job or steady paycheck. So one important part of becoming a B is to surround yourself with other people who are Bs - and I want you to become a B.
3. | Give yourself time. It takes time to be successful in any of the quadrants. Just as it takes time to climb to the top of the corporate ladder as an E or become a successful doctor or lawyer in the S quadrant, it takes time and dedication to become successful in the B quadrant. It took me years before I built a successful B-quadrant business. So give yourself time. I'll allow at least five years to learn and develop into a B-quadrant person.
4. | Network marketing companies are patient. One of the beauties of a network marketing business is that it will invest in you, even if you're not successful. In the corporate world, if you're not successful in six months to a year, you are often fired. In the network marketing world, as long as you're willing to put in the time, most companies will work with you in your development. After all, they want you to get to the top.
5. | Leverage the systems already in place. These systems are already tried and proven, which allows you to hit the ground running instead of trying to build the internal systems of a new company. |
In Conclusion
After opening my closed mind, I could finally see some of the unique benefits the network marketing industry offers people who want more out of their lives.
Generally, it costs much less to get started in a network marketing company than to build a business on your own.
Why Network Marketing? (Donald Trump's Response) Marketing is a powerful tool, and network marketing can increase that power, provided you're self-motivated. In a simple visual, see a product and remove the advertising agency from it. It's up to you to do the marketing and advertising. That's a big job, but it can be done if you're passionate enough to get going on your own, and to keep the momentum and motivation going at a high level. It requires an entrepreneurial spirit, and that means focus and perseverance. I don't recommend network marketing to people who are not highly self-motivated. Another important aspect of network marketing is that it's inherently social, so if you're not a social or outgoing person, I'd think twice about going into it. Sociability is a requirement. Just like in advertising, there's no point in having a fantastic advertising campaign if the product is unequally fantastic. Also, keep in mind that if you decide to become a distributor, you'll be legally responsible for the claims you make about the product, the company and the available opportunities. But above all, make sure the product is worth your energy and total devotion. Otherwise, you could be energetically spinning your wheels. Robert mentions the importance of going beyond your comfort zone when it comes to network marketing. He also mentions giving yourself enough time. These are good points to consider. I agree that leadership qualities are critical for success. You definitely have to have a take charge, can-do attitude. As with any other undertaking, know everything you can about what you're doing before you begin. Network marketing has proven itself to be a viable and rewarding source of income, and the challenges could be just right for you. There have been some remarkable examples of success, and those successes have been earned through diligence, enthusiasm and the right product combined with timing. As with so many issues, there are tangibles and the intangibles involved, but success is not a total mystery, and that applies to network marketing, as well. Most people have heard of focus group, a research tool advertising agencies use. When they're testing a new product they go to different locations and simply ask everyday people what they like and don't like about new product. It's best if you can keep the focus group idea close at hand when deciding about a product. Just because you like it doesn't mean everyone else will. Finding a common denominator in product appeal will matter. My advice about network marketing is to do your research, and put everything you've got into your product. Genuine enthusiasm is hard to beat, and the odds will be with you. |
